What is Day Zero?

I started Day Zero as a place to bring together early stage founders that just started their companies & operators looking to start their next company or looking to join what is next.

The goals of Day Zero is:

• Attract top emerging founder talent in the SF Bay Area

• Support early builders with community, access, and early-stage funding opportunities

• Host IRL gatherings to build authentic relationships among the next generation of founders

• Help top operators find their next moves and connect them to the best founders

Max Quinn - CEO of BuyOwnBuild & Looking for a Cofounder: Max is building a prop-tech platform that enables anyone to build a home from anywhere. Currently focused on the real estate investor and developer segment, they have their first beta users and have signed multiple design partnerships with manufacturers. Jugal Patel- Jugal is an operator looking for his next role. He is a 2x founder and strategic operator with deep experience in zero-to-one company building. He’s designed and executed across fundraising, hiring, GTM, finance, and systems architecture. He’s raised multimillion-dollar rounds by crafting narratives that connect ambitious technical roadmaps to real-world markets — and built the operational capacity to deliver. He is a national physics champion from Finland building LLM input compression middleware to cut cost, latency, and energy use. Khushi Patni - Startup operator looking for her next role. Khushi is an AI Engineer with a Master’s in Computer Science from Penn State, currently working on LLM-based systems, data pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration at Searce. She enjoys building scalable, intelligent systems that bridge research and real-world impact. She’s currently exploring AI, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering roles where she can contribute to developing innovative, data-driven products while continuing to grow technically and collaborate with strong engineering teams.
